A few quick thoughts came to light from the sermon on the mount. Blessed happiness has to recognize that any position you were in pales in comparison to resting in Gods grace and love (for you AND others.)

If there are strings attached its probably not a good type of love to have. If its a self-gain love its probably not good. If it ignores forgiveness, hope, care its probbly not a good love.

There is going to be tremendous difficulty to be happy or find joy real blessedness without these things.
