>A plea of sorts

>The twentysomething ministry will be picking back up the book and attempting to take a short journey through John Ortberg’s If you want to walk on water you have to get out of the Boat. I would be lying if I didn’t say I am a bit exhausted. But in the same manner I need this, long to be back in the gatherings of young folk (and I say that in a somewhat flippant manner) who desire something more than they have yet have not quite understood what it is on the tip of their spiritual tongues that they need.

I hope that this time on monday nights is something special. My prayer is that they we rid ourselves of a “getting out of the boat is always about letting go of sin” and see the lesson a little more clear. They were after all, following Jesus. And that is something worth being thankful for in itself .

If you are out there, whoever you are I ask that you pray.

And not in some general manner with words that sound like they should be said. Ask God to say something as they discuss even the introduction of the book. Ask God to make them care about….

Ask God to make the corporate picture the only picture.

Then perhaps they we will regularly ask God “bid me to come.”

  1. >Hello Delano! Haven't had a chance to visit lately as I am stretching towards another big bid day. I took a moment to visit your site that I have been meaning to visit for a long time. Thank you for a break from my reading of proposal documents and updating status logs to remember the impotant things! Wanted to offer to you that members of my small group did this study and we may have some extra books if you think that anyone might need a copy? I am sure that I could also round up the DVD if you need it. Let me know! Thank you for the many blessings that you provide in your ministry! Jen
