>I preached this Sunday at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Horton, KS. Many thanks to Pastor Stone for the priviledge. We discussed the text found in John 6:1-15 from the primary perspective of the crowds. What a great perspective of God is seen when observed from that vantage point. His willingness to look up, His desire to supply in spite of the disciples uncertainty, and His power to be a sign that points to Himself.
Here we have a moment where we are reminded that as a follower of Christ there is a need to heed the ‘you find them something to eat’ mentality. Yet in the same vein we are also reminded to remind them that bread is not the main course of the meal. There is a better bread.
