>With each passing day I am firmly aware of a day when ‘faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend’ and I find myself longing for it more as time progresses in this shedding process called life. And it is not so much because of the horrid things that occur it is rather the things that are actually going quite well.
Common grace is a reminder of an untold gratefulness we have yet to see come to pass as a people marked for His redemption. One day we will be thankful in ways and for things we had no clue we would be thankful for. And I believe this to be true because of the things I see around me.
If God can take clay, make it live and then redeem that clay after it denied its creator. If God can take a world that was good and brutally affected by the fall and somehow manage to keep the seasons working systematically (unless you live in Missouri.) If God can make people whose mantra after the fall was “ME!” and turn from that perspective and actually attempt to care about others at least to some degree. How great will it be when we see Him as he is.
Whatever it looks like, I am certain there will be many untold “thank you’s”. A lot of things that our eyes have not seen and our ears have not heard.
What kind of world will it be when trump sounds…
